This Christmassy ‘frankincense and myrrh’ yoga class will soothe your festive spirit

And if you’re beginning to feel the stress of the Christmas planning and preparations creep up on you, now is the time to nip it in the bud and make time for a little self-care.

Right on time, Cork yoga guru Shantie Carroll has announced details of her third annual Frankincense & Myrrh Restorative Yoga sessions at Douglas Yoga Centre, in Maryborough Woods, Douglas.

The €20 Christmassy classes, which take place on Friday, December 17th and Sunday, December 19th, 2021, include a dram of Doterra Frankincense and Myrrh essential oils in sweet almond oil for every participant to continue the good vibes at home.

“Frankincense and myrrh are precious essential oils and have many healing properties,” explains Shantie.

“Both oils have been used by numerous cultures for thousands of years for a variety of physical, mental and emotional issues. They contain sesquiterpenes, a class of terpenes naturally found in plants and insects as pheromones. Sesquiterpenes in these oils may contribute to balancing emotions and hormones and can increase oxygen around the pineal and pituitary gland.”

“During this special Restorative Yoga practice we will focus on using both oils aromatically and topically to soothe and reconnect. This blissful hour will enhance your sense of grounding and stability whilst improving relaxation, mental peace, and clarity of thought.”

Sounds like an early Christmas gift we could all do with.
